  • Day2 Chengdu/Lixian

    Activities for today: Bipenggou Vallely

    After hotel breakfast, drive about 3 hours to Bipenggou, a charming valley and home to giant pandas in Lixian (Li County). It features fossil glaciers, highland meadows, plateau lakes, virgin forests, and beautiful waterfalls, alpine roses (spring) and color leaves (autumn).

    Upon arrival at Bipenggou, start your sightseeing with a tourist bus ride, afterwards you can choose either to walk or use the golf car to go higher to around 4,000 meters above sea level inside the park. The walking is not on steep track but rather gradual. At the very end of the track you can keep exploring more. After sightseeing, drive back to your hotel in Gu’ergou, where you can choose an optional hot spring bath.

  • Day3 Lixian/Danba

    Activities for today: Zhuokeji Official Chieftain Village, Jiaju Tibetan Village

    This morning, we will drive along river valley and forests to the backland of Jiarong Tibetans. Jiarong Tibetans (Gyalrong Tibetans) are one of the branches of the ethnic Tibetans in Kham. We will visit a Tibetan chieftain's mansion - Zhuokeji Official Chieftain Village. This mansion was initially built in 1718. Maozedong and CCP's central organs once stationed one week in the mansion during the Long March.The mansion is also the birthplace of the Tibetan writer Alai's novel: Red Poppies, whose theme is based on the Tibetan custom and traditions.It won the Mao Dun Literature Prize in 2000.

    You will not feel tired on your journey this afternoon. As we drive south along Jinchuan River, ancient watchtowers and Tibetan villages come into sight frequently. We will stop at Jiaju Tibetan Village for one night. This Jiarong Tibetan village was rated as "the Most Beautiful Village in China" by Chinese National Geographic in 2005. Standing at the sightseeing stands, you will see the blockhouses built in the mountains from the river bank to the peak. Most importantly, you can experience the different and interesting Jiarong Tibetan culture in the most relaxing way.

  • Day4 Danba/Tagong/Xinduqiao

    Activities for today: picnic, horse riding, Tagong Lamasery

    After breakfast, drive along the yak river valley and reach a high land, where we can see the breathtaking Yala Snow Mountain if weather permits. We will purchase some meat and vegetables in a local market in Bamei. Upon arrival at Tagon, encamp in Tagong Grassland for a picnic, enjoy horse riding and pay a visit to Tagong Lamasery. Later, continue our driving to Xinduqiao, a paradise of photographers.

  • Day5 Xinduqiao/Chengdu

    Activities for today: Luding Bridge

    After hotel breakfast, drive to Kangding via Zheduo Mountain pass ((elevation: 4298m).

    After lunch, move on to visit Luding Bridge.The bridge dates from the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1912) and is considered a historical landmark. It was an important crossing on the road between Sichuan and Tibet. The bridge was the location of the Battle of Luding Bridge, one of the most important events in the Long March. After sightseeing, drive back to Chengdu.

Private Transfers:
Between airports / railway station, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in the cities specified in the itinerary by the private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
Entrance fees:
All entrance fees to scenic spots as listed above in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of LocalChengduTours. ZTG will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
Meals:
All meals as specified in the itinerary. “B” stands for western breakfast “L” for Chinese Lunch in local Chinese restaurant. “D” for Chinese dinner in local Chinese restaurant. The quotation is basic on the above normal meals. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, or Indian food etc, please inform us in advance.
Private tour escort for Sightseeing:
Normal sightseeing activities as outlined in the Itinerary will be escorted with English-speaking guide.
The English-speaking guide and driver of each city accompany you throughout the entire tour in that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.
Accommodation (if include Yangtze Cruiser):
Service based on two adults sharing on one standard twin/double-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate. A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar class one.
All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
Transportation:
All the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax/ or train ticket(s) as specified in the itinerary.
