  • Day1 Chengdu

    Arrive at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, where you are met and transferred to your hotel.

  • Day2 Chengdu

    Transfer via: private vehicle

    Activities for today: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, People's Park, Jinli Old Street

    Arise early for an unforgettable experience at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. This base is not only the most important panda scientific research center in the world, but also the home for over 100 giant pandas. You will walk at leisure through the bamboo-framed paths and closely observe giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, tumbling, and climbing trees. Be sure to not miss the chance to watch female pandas nursing their cubs in the nursery rooms! There is also a very informative Panda Museum where you can learn more scientific facts about giant pandas.

    In the afternoon, return to the city to enjoy your time in People's Park. You can sit down and order a cup of tea in a teahuse or find some interesting spots in the park.

    Enjoy a short orientation walk in Jinli Old Street before an optional Hot Pot dinner.


    N.B.
    1) We suggest starting your tour at 07:00 because the pandas are active at 08:00 - 10:00. They are playing and eating breakfast in their houses and gardens. If you go there so late, the pandas will asleep.

    2) Holding a panda in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding will cost RMB 1800 for 15 seconds. This is an optional activity for visitors.

    3) Hot Pot of Chengdu is well known in China, hot and spicy, No matter in winter nor in hot summer are the hot pot restaurants full of locals. People believe eating around the round pot means friendship and uniting. At dinner we will take you to a special hot pot restaurant. This is an optional activity for visitors.

  • Day3 Chengdu/Zhangjiajie

    Activities for today: Airport transfer (Zhengdu, Zhangjiajie)

    Chengdu Driver Service: Our driver will escort you to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airort for the flight to Zhangjiajie.

    Zhangjiajie Tour Guide & Driver Service: Upon your arrival at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, our guide will meet you at the arrival hall of the airport. Balance of the day is at leisure.

  • Day4 Zhangjiajie

    Activities for today: Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiajie Mountain, Tianzi Mountain, Ten Mile Natural Gallery

    Today enjoy a full day tour in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We will ascend the Yuanjiajie Mountain by Bailong Elevator - a glass elevator built into the side of the mountain. On the summit, taking about 2.5 hours to visit the famous "Hallelujah Mountains", the Platform of Forgetfulness, the No. 1 Bridge under Heaven, and so on. Afternoon, climb up the beautiful Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve to visit Helong Park, West Sea Scenic Area and some other sights. Later, take the cable car down the mountain to enjoy a walk along the picturesque Ten Mile Natural Gallery (mini train is optional).

  • Day5 Zhangjiajie

    Activities for today: Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and Glass Bridge, Baofeng Lake

    This morning, we will explore Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, which is known as the landform museum of Zhangjiajie. One of the highlights in your canyon exploration is a challenging walk on the most terrifying glass bridge in the world - Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. Enjoy a wonderful cruise in Baofeng Lake prior to driving back to your hotel.

  • Day6 Zhangjiajie

    Transfer via: flight – your arrangement

    Activities for today: Tianmen Mountain, airport transfer (Zhangjiajie)

    After breakfast, drive to visit Tianmen Mountain. You will experience a ride on the world's longest cable car up to the summit of the mountain, taking in the spectacular scenery as you do so. Once at the summit take a hike (approximately 2 hours) on the plank road alongside the Guigu Cliff. During the hiking, you can choose to experience the glass skywalk built along a cliff with an extra expense (RMB5/pp). After hiking, move on to admire Tiammen Temple and then take the cable cars up to the middle station, where we will take a bus along the Tongtian Avenue (a famous mountain-winding highway in the world) to explore the Tianmen Cave. The trip ends with a transfer to Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport.

Private Transfers:
Between airports / railway station, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in the cities specified in the itinerary by the private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
Entrance fees:
All entrance fees to scenic spots as listed above in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of LocalChengduTours. ZTG will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
Meals:
All meals as specified in the itinerary. “B” stands for western breakfast “L” for Chinese Lunch in local Chinese restaurant. “D” for Chinese dinner in local Chinese restaurant. The quotation is basic on the above normal meals. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, or Indian food etc, please inform us in advance.
Private tour escort for Sightseeing:
Normal sightseeing activities as outlined in the Itinerary will be escorted with English-speaking guide.
The English-speaking guide and driver of each city accompany you throughout the entire tour in that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.
Accommodation (if include Yangtze Cruiser):
Service based on two adults sharing on one standard twin/double-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate. A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar class one.
All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
