    Welcome to Chengdu, the land of abundance and leisure! Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. If time permits, step into the charming Wide and Narrow Lanes (Kuanzhai Alleys) – a delightful maze of Qin

    Activities for today: Sanxingdui Museum, Face-changing performance, Jinli Ancient Street

    Your guide and driver will meet you at 8:00 am. A one-hour drive takes you to the legendary Sanxingdui Museum – home to one of China’s most astonishing archaeological discoveries. Marvel at the larger-than-life bronze masks, golden scepters, and eerie yet mesmerizing relics of a lost Shu kingdom civilization.


    Return to Chengdu in the afternoon for an unforgettable Face-changing performance – a dazzling Sichuan Opera art where masked dancers change their painted faces in the blink of an eye. As night falls, wander into Jinli Ancient Street, a lantern-lit bazaar of wooden houses, folk crafts, and mouthwatering street food. It feels like a living painting from ancient Shu.

  • Day3 Chengdu/Ya'an

    Activities for today: Niunianping Ecological Tea Plantation, Mengding Mountain

    Leave Chengdu at around 7:00 am and drive 1.5 hours (approx. 100 km) to Niunianping Ecological Tea Plantation in Mingshan District, Ya’an. By 9:00 am, you’ll find yourself surrounded by endless rolling hills of emerald tea bushes. Here, you can:


    •Wander through the vast tea fields


    •Try your hand at plucking and roasting tea leaves


    •Visit the Tea Culture Exhibition Hall


    Enjoy a local farm-style lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Then, a short 30–40 minute drive brings you to Mengding Mountain – the birthplace of Chinese tea culture. Spend the afternoon exploring sacred sites including:


    •Tiangai Temple – a peaceful mountaintop temple


    •The Millennial Tea King Tree – over a thousand years old


    •Ganlu Spring – a sweet, legendary water source


    •Mengding Five Peaks (viewed from a distance) – shaped like a giant lotus flower


    After a day of tea-scented serenity, check into your hotel in Ya’an city.

  • Day4  Ya'an/Chengdu

    Activities for today: Bifengxia Panda Base, Pingle Ancient Town

    After breakfast, visit the Bifengxia Panda Base – a natural sanctuary nestled in lush bamboo forests. Unlike crowded city zoos, here you’ll see giant pandas playing, climbing, and napping in a near-wild environment. It’s one of the most heartwarming panda encounters you can have.


    In the afternoon, drive back toward Chengdu, stopping at Pingle Ancient Town – a hidden gem of canals, stone bridges, and centuries-old banyan trees. Walk along the cobbled streets, taste fermented tofu and sticky rice cakes, and watch locals play mahjong by the water. You’ll be transferred back to your Chengdu hotel by evening.

Private Transfers:
Between airports / railway station, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in the cities specified in the itinerary by the private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
Entrance fees:
All entrance fees to scenic spots as listed above in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of LocalChengduTours. ZTG will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
Meals:
All meals as specified in the itinerary. “B” stands for western breakfast “L” for Chinese Lunch in local Chinese restaurant. “D” for Chinese dinner in local Chinese restaurant. The quotation is basic on the above normal meals. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, or Indian food etc, please inform us in advance.
Private tour escort for Sightseeing:
Normal sightseeing activities as outlined in the Itinerary will be escorted with English-speaking guide.
The English-speaking guide and driver of each city accompany you throughout the entire tour in that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.
Accommodation (if include Yangtze Cruiser):
Service based on two adults sharing on one standard twin/double-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate. A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar class one.
All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
Transportation:
All the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax/ or train ticket(s) as specified in the itinerary.
