Luding Bridge China
Luding Bridge, or Dadu Bridge is an iron chain bridge over the Dadu River in Luding County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China, located about 80 kilometers west of the city of Ya'an. Built in 1705, it was once an important crossing on the road between Sichuan and Tibet. The bridge is made up of 13 giant iron chains, measures 103.67 meters in length and 3 meters in width. The bridge is known for being the location of the Battle of Luding Bridge, one of the most important events in the Long March.
