Spring: late February - mid-May

The winter months bring snow to mountain peaks around Chengdu city, and clear, crisp days. In Xiling Snow Mountain, you might encounter heavy snow, while the city is colder but drier. 

Hit the ski slopes in Xiling Snow Mountain, visit the museums or head along to one of the winter festivals (e.g Chinese Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival, or the Fire Dragon Festival in Huanglongxi Ancient Town).  

Temperatures range from 6 - 12 degrees celsius. The further south you go, the colder you will get - temperatures are significantly lower in Xiling Snow Mountain than in city area of Chengdu.
